The Venetian Las Vegas: A Suite Experience on the Strip

In May 2023, we stayed at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, a 5-star, all-suite luxury property right on the Las Vegas Strip. Located at 3355 S Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89109, it is within walking distance or a short drive to major attractions like the Bellagio fountains, Caesars Palace, and the Forum Shops and about 15 minutes from Harry Reid International Airport.

From the moment we arrived, the grandeur of the façade and the Venetian-style piazzas set the tone for an immersive, luxe stay. The lobby and reception area are vast, marble-floored, frescoed, and impeccably clean; check-in was efficient, and the staff greeted us with warmth and professionalism. Inside, the resort exudes a theatrical yet elegant vibe — think gondolas, indoor canals, and classical sculptures.

We stayed in one of the standard (though generously sized) suites. The décor married Italian classical motifs with modern touches. Our suite was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with complimentary Wi-Fi, a minibar, coffee/tea station, and large windows with sweeping Strip views. The bathroom featured marble finishes and a separate glass-walled shower and deep soaking tub. Housekeeping visited daily with attention to detail.

In terms of facilities, The Venetian does not disappoint. With over 40 restaurants on site spanning fine dining to casual fare (including celebrity chef venues), there was something for every palate. The pool deck feels like a resort within a resort with heated pools, cabanas, and lush lounging spaces. The gym and spa (via Canyon Ranch) are top notch, offering full wellness services. The Venetian also includes expansive meeting and event spaces, plus direct access to the Venetian Expo convention centre.

Service was consistently strong. The staff were courteous, responded quickly to requests, and communicated well (many spoke multiple languages). We never felt neglected, though the property’s size sometimes made interactions less personal than at boutique hotels.

This property is ideal for couples, luxury travellers, and business or convention guests, given its scale and full amenity offering. Families will find it suitable as well, though there’s a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere. The Venetian is also LGBTQ+ friendly, as are most major resorts in Las Vegas.

What sets The Venetian apart is its all-suite configuration (standard suites are almost double the size of many Strip hotel rooms), its immersive Venetian theming (indoor canals, gondolas, piazzas), and the breadth of dining, shopping, and entertainment all on site.

Nearby, you can walk to iconic Las Vegas Strip attractions, catch big-name shows right in the resort’s theaters, or explore the Grand Canal Shoppes within its complex. The resort runs concierge services and is well placed for airport transfers.
