2019 Jan Krakow, Poland
Kraków is one of Europe’s most atmospheric cities — full of history, heart, and beautiful architecture. We wandered through the cobbled streets of the Old Town, explored Wawel Castle, and listened to the bugle call from St. Mary’s Basilica. The Jewish Quarter, Kazimierz, was another highlight, with its vibrant cafes and deep history. Kraków is a city that moves you — rich in culture, resilience, and charm.
Our short stay in Krakow was full of history, culture, and unforgettable experiences. We explored the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), admired the St. Mary’s Basilica, and enjoyed a delightful dinner right on the square, soaking in the lively atmosphere.
A visit to Wawel Castle and the Wawel Cathedral gave us a glimpse into Poland’s royal history, while wandering the Old Town streets revealed charming cafes, local shops, and vibrant street life. The Kazimierz district offered a fascinating insight into Krakow’s Jewish heritage, and we topped it off with a fun vodka tasting walking tour, sampling local flavors while exploring hidden corners of the city.
For a more sobering and reflective experience, we took a day trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau, a powerful reminder of history that left a deep impression.
Between all the history and culture, a stroll along the Vistula River and through Planty Park gave us a peaceful moment to take it all in. Krakow’s mix of rich history, lively squares, and unique experiences made our short visit unforgettable.
